The client moved into a home that had an outdated, closed-off kitchen and living space, with all-white interiors, mirrors, and a tiny, cramped kitchen. With limited functionality and style, the family knew they needed a dramatic change. They wanted to open up the space to create a more modern, inviting kitchen and living room that could accommodate both daily living and entertaining.

The client’s primary goal was to open the kitchen, making the space feel larger, brighter, and more functional. They desired custom cabinetry, unique finishes, and a modern aesthetic that would reflect their style. Additional storage solutions for a built-in bar, including a dedicated space for liquor bottles and a coffee station, were also top priorities.

We removed three walls to open up the kitchen and living room, relocating plumbing, electrical, and HVAC to ensure a smooth transition. The kitchen was transformed with custom cabinetry, waterfall quartz countertops, and a textured backsplash, giving the space a modern yet warm feel. The built-in bar added a touch of luxury with a custom pullout for liquor bottles, a beverage fridge, and hidden storage for a coffee maker. In the living room, we custom-designed a recessed fireplace with a sleek, manufactured surround that safely housed the gas fireplace and sound bar. The space is now a perfect blend of functionality, style, and open-concept living.
